Christmas Shopping on A Budget

It's Christmas time. It's shopping time. Do you know how much you spend during Christmas season? Christmas isn't an excuse to blow your budget. Be in control of your Christmas budget long before you step in to the mall/store or shop online.

Here are some helpful tips on Christmas shopping on a budget:

1. Set a budget - Decide how much can you spend for Christmas shopping. Remember to stick on your budget and spend only within your means. Avoid overspending or else you may end up starting a new year paying debt incurred during Christmas.

2. Make a list - Decide how much you can spend on gifts. List down everyone you plan to buy a gift and  a reasonable amount for each gift. You can also consider making your own gifts like Christmas cards.

3. Start early - Don't wait until it's December to start buying gifts. Take advantage of the year round sales with huge mark down prices. You'll be surprised before December hits, you already have gifts for everyone on your list.

4. Do online research - Visit shopping sites for the item you plan to buy. Read the user reviews and ratings to find the best brand or model of the item you plan to buy. Compare the shopping sites to find the best online price.

5. Plan for next year - As early as January, start your Christmas shopping. Take advantage of the post-holiday sales. If you make budgeting and spending decisions long before Christmas, you'll enjoy shopping because your budget said you could.

Christmas time is a busy time and can easily break your budget. Have yourself a stress-free Christmas by sticking to your budget. You don't need to spend a lot just to enjoy Christmas. Spending quality time with your loved ones is the most important - it makes you happier and your Christmas merrier. 😊
